My selection this month was easy. Although, I love the warmth of the summer sun, I look forward to the crispness of Fall.
The first time I saw Clothesline Floral I felt that it was the epitome of Fall beauty.
The other fabrics I chose this month all look great with the floral. Mixing geometric shapes and straight lines with floral prints is really popular right now. Try it for fall.

Laura Lempe joined the Modern Textiles team in January 2014. She adores fabric and is proud to say that her first quilt was made with black and white Elvis Presley fabric. Although, her fabric tastes have changed (thank goodness) and she hasn’t attempted a quilt since, she is still sewing. Now she uses beautiful fabrics, Cotton and Steel is one of her favorite companies, to create custom bags and accessories for her small business, Poppy and Pippa. When she’s not surrounded by beautiful fabric, Laura is the Director at Elim Children’s Center. Laura and her husband, Bill, live in Fargo with their two super spoiled cats.
