To achieve the designed effect, we recommend choosing a dark, medium and light tone (fabrics A, B, and C) in one color family. Add in one bright contrasting color (Fabric D, usually in a warm tone) and a second contrasting color (Fabric E, typically cool or neutral) and you’ll be set.

The instructions and layouts in this pattern will walk you through our vision for Formation, but feel free to experiment and come up with your own plan! The journey through the quilt process is half the fun, enjoy it!
