It’s been so fun quilting quilts I made nearly a year ago at retreat—especially using my own designs! Today, I’m excited to introduce Bauhaus Tiles, the latest and greatest modern digital quilting pantograph now available in my shop. I featured this design on the Run Wild quilt pattern by Then Came June. It’s a fast, fun panto to stitch out with minimal backtracking, and it gives a cool mid-century vibe that works beautifully with just about any quilt pattern.

Sometimes the best quilting designs are the simple ones that often get overlooked. For this one, I doubled the repeat to allow for a 25% offset—much more versatile for quilting machines. Fellow longarmers: did you know not all machines can offset to any percentage? Because of that, designing for no, 25% or 50% offset is always my goal. If a design doesn’t land on one of those, I’ll adjust the design to make sure it does.
This design has minimal backtracking, which is a huge perk for longarm quilting. If you ever need to rip stitches, less overlap means less headache. It’s also more efficient on thread use and stitch path—both cost savers for anyone offering longarm quilting services.
Alignment between passes is super easy, too. Nothing fussy here—just straightforward, satisfying stitching for your next favorite panto.

Run Wild Quilt Pattern
This quilt pattern is such a cool, modern design that I knew I had to make it. I love a quilt block that breaks the mold. I stitched up the gradient version, but the bold two-tone option is equally stunning—especially if you love high-contrast quilts.
The pattern is written with fat quarters in mind for both the crib and throw sizes.

Ruby Star Society Moonglow Scraps and Fat Quarter Fabrics
If you’ve been following along in 2025, you know that “sew my stash off” has been one of my big goals. I’ve been tackling not just untouched yardage but also my overflowing scrap bins. My scrap stash had tons of wideback cut-offs from previous quilts, including this natural-colored Moonglow wideback by Ruby Star Society. I paired this funky low-volume background with a fat quarter bundle from Robert Kaufman, full of linens and quilting cottons. The mix of textures gives this quilt such an amazing feel.

Minky Backing Fabric
During Joann’s close-out sale, I grabbed yards and yards of various minky backings. The only downside is that they were 60 inches wide, so I had to seam the backing together. Totally worth it for the discount in my book. It technically breaks my “sew my stash off” rule, but my backing fabrics were running low.
I love this deep jewel-tone minky. Pro tip: whether you’re quilting on a domestic machine or a longarm, lengthen your stitch length to reduce the chance of minky pulling up and showing on the quilt top. On a longarm, lowering your machine speed can also help keep the minky from popping through the stitches.
