Halloween Plus Sign Quilt

Halloween Plus Sign Quilt

Check out the FREE Halloween Plus Sign Quilt pattern! I've made this fun and fast Free Halloween Plus Sign quilt in the past, but never in with a Halloween twist!

If you haven't noticed, I LOVE a good halloween quilt. Black and White with some spooky details are just so fun and scream fall to me. How about you? I've decided to skip the fake cobwebs this year for Halloween wall hangings!

Fabrics

I was wandering through my Local Quilt Shop and noticed these foil Tiger heads on black and off white fabric. I knew I had to have them! I hadn't used Lewis and Irene Fabrics until this, but it was a dream to work with and I love the copper-foil to give a little dazzle to the fabric. Fabric is Panthera from Lewis & Irene.

Binding

For the binding I had enough leftover of the Panthera fabric to make a scrappy binding. I love how the alternating white and black looks with the classic plus sign top. How do you feel about scrappy binding? Love it, leave it? I'd love to know in the comments!

Backing

I love a fun print for the backing of quilts and when I walked past this Charley Harper (Birch Fabrics) pumpkin patch print I knew it was going to be fun! The burgundy undertone of the negative space lent to the copper foil on the quilt top and gives this wall hanging a fun pop.

Quilting

I know I just used the Fish Net panto on the Horizon quilt I posted about last week...would you have ever guessed I made this plus sign quilt a year ago? Using the same panto, clearly it's a winner in my book!

If you’d like me to help out adding quilting to your quilt check out my long arm quilting information page to send your quilt in!

I'd love to see you put your own spin on your Plus Sign Quilt - be sure to share your quilt on social media with the #MTPlusSignQuilt and #mtsew

Finished Size: 43" x 43"

This is a great wall hanging for all year round, and can easily use up some of your stash! With such easy instructions you can easily scale this quilt up to a larger or smaller size by making more blocks! I can't wait to see what you make.
