I’m so excited to show you not one, but two Clover Quilts, made using my Ruby Star Society Fat Quarter Subscription Bundle from Fat Quarter Shop, along with a few extra FQs to round everything out! I love how the crib quilt with a lighter background and the throw quilt with a darker one give each quilt its own bold personality — kind of like sisters with very different vibes.

✨ Why You'll Love the Clover Quilt Pattern
The Clover Quilt is a modern quilt pattern built around one of my favorite shapes — the quarter circle quilt block, also known as the Drunkard’s Path block. It’s a fun and fast make for confident beginners, and a great intro to curved piecing that doesn’t feel intimidating.
This pattern was designed with modern quilters in mind — think bold prints, bright color palettes, and lots of creative freedom.
🧵 Quilting Details
Since Woodland Park was the star fabric line here, I leaned into a clean, modern quilting aesthetic to let the prints shine.
For the Crib Quilt:
I used the Orange Leaf pantograph from The Panto Shop. I offset the design and spaced it out a bit to give the quilt a light, airy drop — perfect for a sweet, modern nursery quilt.
For the Throw Size Quilt:
I chose Posy Patch by Julie Hirt and stitched it in a soft grey thread that worked beautifully across the patterned top. With so many bold prints in the mix, I didn’t want the quilting to overwhelm things — just enhance them.

🌈 Fabrics: Woodland Park + Bird is the Word
This quilt started with myRuby Star Society Fat Quarter Subscription Bundle, and once I saw the fabrics, I had to use them all. Rashida Coleman-Hale’s designs are always a favorite — bright colors, modern energy, and just enough whimsy to keep things playful.
- Crib Quilt: Background is “Starry,” and I mixed in leftovers from Bird is the Word from a previous bundle.
- Throw Quilt: I used Bird is the Word Soft Black Moonflower background fabric with more fat quarters from the Woodland Park line.
These two quilts use many of the same fabrics but take on totally different looks, depending on layout and background color — a great example of how versatile this modern quilt design really is.

🔲 Binding & Finishing Touches
Crib Quilt:
I used leftover Blue Ribbon Speckled backing fabric for the binding. That rich blue frames the quilt beautifully and lets the prints do all the talking.
Throw Quilt:
I went with the same Blue Ribbon Speckled binding for contrast — it pops so nicely off the darker background and ties in the blue fat quarters used in the top. These two quilts really are a pair — connected but unique.
🎨 Bold Backings
- Crib Quilt Backing: Bright royal Blue Ribbon Speckled — playful, bold, and coordinates like a dream with the front.
- Throw Quilt Backing: A soft black speckled fabric to stay in line with the darker top.
