Bold Solids for a Fun Punch
You’ve probably heard me mention my friend Meg before — she’s got the fastest shipping around! I picked up these vibrant Bella Solids by Moda from her shop, Monograms for Makers. If you ever need hands-on advice for pairing fabrics, Meg is super responsive and has a fantastic eye for quilt design combinations.
For this quilt top, I used:
Bella Solids are my go-to for quality solid fabrics — they sew up beautifully and work well in all kinds of quilt patterns.

Oil Spill Pantograph: A Modern Take on Meander
For the quilting, I wanted something minimal but impactful to highlight the bold solid colors. I chose the Oil Spill pantograph by Jess Zeigler for the Longarm League. This modern twist on a meander design adds texture without stealing the show.
If you're unfamiliar, the Longarm League is a community for longarm quilters — since longarm quilting can be a solo activity, it's amazing to have others to bounce ideas off of and talk business with. It’s been a game-changer for my quilting services and my business overall.
Curious about joining the League? Feel free to reach out — I’m happy to chat.

Binding: An Extra Pop of Color
Picnic quilts are the perfect place to go wild with color and fabric choices — it only makes them better. I used the leftover Acid Green (my favorite) for the binding, and I also used it to create the quilt ties. The pattern includes instructions for turning your quilt into a roll-up version with ties, making it easy to store and take on the go.
