It’s been a while since I showcased a Pipeline Quilt, and this sweet floral and pink wall hanging was just the refresh I needed! Pipeline is such a fun modern quilt pattern that offers loads of negative space—perfect for playful longarm quilting designs. Plus, the color possibilities are truly endless.

Bold Solids with Bella Fabrics

Since this was a quick and fun wall hanging, I dug into my scrap bin and found some great Bella Solids from an old subscription bundle. I even managed to track down the fabric names! The background is an off-white, and the three accent colors, from light to dark, are Rose Water, Blush, and Burgundy. The quilt backing was an off-cut from a fun project my daughter made—I love when I can use up scraps completely!

Fun Flowers Pantograph: A Modern Quilting Design

Considering the Pipeline Quilt is inspired by a bird’s-eye view of pipes running every which way, I thought—why not layer in a natural element like plant overgrowth? Enter: Fun Flowers, a modern pantograph design. I think it creates the perfect balance and pairs beautifully with the pinks in this quilt.

Binding: Not the Norm

Since this is a wall hanging, I wasn’t too concerned about dirt or wear. So, I opted for the same off-white fabric as the background for the binding. It keeps the focus on the quilting design and the structure of the quilt pattern, allowing both to really shine.
