I’ve been on a scrap-busting mission lately, and what better way to bring a little spring into your home than with fabric flowers that never wilt? 🌼 Re-introducing the Scrappy Flower Garden Mini Quilts – a fun, floral-themed, raw edge appliqué pattern that's beginner-friendly and perfect for modern quilters. This 5-in-1 modern quilt pattern is available in my quilt pattern shop, and it's a great way to turn leftover fabric into something beautiful!

The Perfect Intro to Raw Edge Appliqué
Whether you’re new to appliqué or looking for a fresh quilt pattern design for beginners, this mini quilt is a great starting point. I love using Heat and Bond Lite, a dual-sided fusible adhesive that makes it easy to position and fuse your appliqué pieces exactly where you want them.
Once fused, you can finish the raw edges with topstitching, free motion quilting, or an straight line quilting on your machine. It’s flexible enough to suit your skill level and your machine setup—whether you're using a domestic machine or exploring your longarm quilting machine.

Scraps Meet Style – Quilting for Modern Quilters
This pattern is the perfect excuse to use up those oddly sized fabric scraps and forgotten fat quarters. Some of the larger cuts worked beautifully for table runners and wall hangings, giving new life to fabric that had been sitting in my stash for too long.
I quilted most of these pieces on my longarm quilting machine, experimenting with a mix of pantograph designs and free motion quilting. As someone still learning the art of free motion on the longarm, I’ve embraced the imperfections. Quilting is a journey—and I’ve been trying to model progress over perfection, especially for my daughter. 💛
