Scrappy Quilting and Stash Busting
Sticking with my theme of using up my fabric stash—and now moving on to my scrap stash—I decided to tackle a large pile of pre-cut 2.5” squares I made a couple of winters ago when trying to get my scraps under control.
The great thing about the Veggie Quilt Pattern is that it includes specific quantity counts for every color you’ll need, making it super scrap-friendly and perfect for anyone looking to use up leftover fabric from past quilt projects.

All the Scraps and All the Memories
I must say, it’s so much fun reminiscing about all the quilts I’ve created with these same scraps! One of the best parts of scrappy quilting is that each piece tells a little story. Scrappy quilts are like “I Spy” quilts for both the quilter and the person snuggled under the finished quilt.
They’re my favorite quilts to admire while curled up on the couch—the perfect mix of comfort, color, and memory. And yes, they make for an excellent “I Spy” game with the kids too!

Boomlet Pantograph + Longarm Quilting Details
I stitched this quilt using the adorable Boomlet pantograph, which I received as part of my Longarm League membership. Each month, we get a free pantograph, and when this one arrived, I knew I was saving it for the perfect project—enter the Veggie Quilt!
The Boomlet quilting design is a sweet nod to the growth process: blooms, sprouts, and eventually a full harvest (of veggies, of course!). It stitches out beautifully and glides smoothly across the quilt top, creating a modern yet organic texture.
If you’re looking for professional longarm quilting inspiration, or want to join the Longarm League to get free pantographs too, check it out!

Backing Fabric Love
I used these adorable strawberry prints in wideback fabric—and I have to say, I love not having to piece my backing fabric! It ties perfectly into the theme of the quilt: veggies on the front and berries on the back.
The overall feel of this quilt is so organic and natural. The backing fabric isn’t a bright white, which complements all the tones and prints in the quilt top beautifully.
