I have the Watcher Quilt version of the Horizon Quilt to show you today. If you are looking for a quick sew, this quilt is it for you! I’ve continue to hear from both beginner and veteran quilters that this is a FUN and QUICK sew! Hearing how happy you all are with the pattern makes me the happiest gall around! Keep reading to learn more about the Watcher/Stealth version of the Horizon Quilt. I grabbed all my fabrics for this project over at Mashe Modern.
Libs Elliott Fabric
If you know me I love sewing with a good panel! The Watcher panel from Libs Elliott did not disappoint. I love all of her fabrics and decided to make this quilt entirely from her collections! The top is using her Watcher fabrics in Tainted Love Blood Orange, Heartbreaker in Coal and the Watcher panel in white.
Binding
Since this is more of a Halloween quilt for me - I used some spare Carrot PBS solids that I had leftover from another project.
Backing
I had a bundle of FQ's from Lib's other collection Stealth in my stash and new making the Collection Throw quilt would be a fun twist for the backing fabric. I scored this bundle from Mashe Modern :) Check out the Collection Throw FREE tutorial here on our blog. I scaled it up to cover the needed dimensions for the backing fabric.
Quilting
Have I mentioned how much I love long arm quilting? For this Horizon Quilt decided to play off the halloween vibes, but didn't want to go too straight into Halloween. So I decided to go with the Fish net panto, which kind of gives a shattered glass look. If you’d like me to help out adding quilting to your quilt check out my long arm quilting information page to send your quilt in!
I’d love to see you put your own spin on the Horizon Quilt – be sure to share your quilt on social media with the #MTHorizonQuilt and #mtsew
